Why You Should Start Pole Dancing For Fitness

If you are one of those people that struggle to keep consistent with a workout routine or find it boring and mundane, this one is for you.

Motivation is a fickle thing when it comes to staying in shape. Having fun while exercising is probably the best way to keep motivated for long periods of time.

There are few if any exercises that can be as fun as POLE FITNESS.

Today I am going to share with you how pole fitness literally changed my life and how it became something I can’t live without.

Before I start, I’d just like to debunk a few myths…

The sad reality is that very few people know what it is about and hold on to the old stigma and mindset that it is a “thing that only strippers do”

While there is nothing wrong with exotic pole dancing classes, this is not what I am talking about.

Pole fitness indeed has its origins rooted in the exotic side of things. But it has changed and evolved into something much much more.

Pole fitness is on the rise and getting a lot of attention these days. People have come to accept it and are seeing the potential in it. Pole fitness is quite literally taking the fitness world by storm.

It is an extremely exciting and fun sport! Maybe the following reasons will nudge you in the right direction to give it a try.

If you are anything like me, you might be struggling to lose weight and keep in shape.

Pole fitness has some amazing fat burning potential. It is possible to burn in excess of 500 calories per class. In my

opinion, it is one of the best exercises for fat loss available.

Obviously, that doesn’t mean you can chow down junk food every other day. Like all exercises, it should be accompanied by a healthy diet.

Pole fitness will improve your strength, stamina, and flexibility considerably in a short amount of time.

It is a holistic exercise and I believe that is why it offers such great weight loss potential

Perhaps one of my top reasons. Almost anyone can learn pole fitness.

You don’t have to be in shape or “skinny”, you don’t have to have a dancing background, and you don’t even need to join a physical class.

You can learn all you need to from the comfort of your own home.

People from all walks of life do pole fitness for exercise and it’s an excellent choice.

You don’t need any expertise or any particular background, so there are no excuses 🙂

   3. I’s Fun and Doesn’t Feel Like Exercise

Well, you will definitely be feeling it the next morning… But you get what I mean.

There are very few exercises that will challenge you physically and be really fun at the same time.

I used to hate “forcing” myself to go to the gym or do exercise. My old fitness routines felt stiff and boring.

If I am honest, I have never felt bored while doing pole fitness. The awesome thing is that it stays exciting. The skill cap is so high that you will never stop improving.

There will always be something new to discover and work on.

It offers all the amazing benefits of an intense fitness routine without you wanting to quit every ten minutes. In fact, you probably burn more calories in a good session of pole fitness than with most exercises.

The key is that it engages your entire body and you learn to rely on your core strength.

We all know core strength is extremely important. Pole fitness helps you to develop these underworked muscles.

It’s not uncommon for the beginner pole dancer to feel shy and self-conscious. Trust me, I have been there. I felt a bit awkward and out of place when I started out, and that’s natural.

I know my confidence skyrocketed after a few weeks. I wasn’t as shy and I became more social, had more fun, and had an all-around good time wherever I went.

As explained before, pole fitness is fun, but it is also physically demanding.

You often won’t realize how many times you lift your own bodyweight in one class.

Bodyweight exercises are great as they don’t put too much strain on your joints and they are effective in burning fat.

Your muscles will get stronger and more toned as a result too.

Studies have shown that having more lean muscle mass greatly contributes to the number of calories you burn throughout the day.

Therefore pole fitness is a great way to slim down, get fit and strong whilst having fun in the process.

   6. It is Simple to Do From Home

Technology has made all kinds of things so simple for us these days. We often take it for granted.

Gone are the days where you struggled to find the information you need and require.

We now have the power of the internet, and man has it changed things.

Thanks to this, we have some awesome online pole dancing lessons available to us.

It is not necessary anymore to enroll in a physical class. You can get used to the pole from home and then transition into a class if you’d like.

I actually mostly do all my pole fitness from home because of the convenience factor.

A lot of people like this for the reason that it’s private and most people feel awkward when starting pole dancing lessons.

All you need is a good instructor, and a decent pole to put up at home. And you are all set!

Conclusion
